Calos In Line to Helm Hopewell Chamber

Stefan M. Calos, a shareholder at the law firm of Sands Anderson PC, has been chosen as President-Elect of the Hopewell-Prince George Chamber of Commerce for 2012, and will serve as President in 2013, reports M. Pierce Rucker, president of the law firm.

"Stefan became a shareholder shortly after joining the firm in 2005 and has consistently shown our firm the leadership and creativity that the Chamber has obviously recognized in its choice of officers," said Rucker.

The current President of the Chamber is Mary McLean of Virginia Vend, Inc., who succeeded Paul McCoy of Rolls-Royce when he was transferred out of state.  Andy Clark of Ligon Jones Insurance Services remains Immediate Past President.

Calos was recently named "Legal Elite" for the third consecutive year by Virginia Business magazine.  He is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available for legal ability and professional ethics. His law practice concentrates in business, commercial real estate and estate planning, and litigation.  He served as Interim City Attorney during Hopewell's search for new in-house counsel in 2008 and 2009.
