Thomas L. Bowden, Sr., a business and venture capital lawyer with the Sands Anderson PC law firm, was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Business Leadership Network, Brian R. Pitney, chair of the Business, Finance and Real Estate Practice Group, announced today."We believe Tom has a wealth of business acumen as well as significant legal experience from which this business group committed to workplace and marketplace diversity can benefit," said Pitney.
The Virginia Business Leadership Network "provides employers with education and resources, and helps organizations realize the business imperative of including individuals with disabilities in the workforce and marketplace respectively," according to the organizations materials. Members span a range of business and community groups, as well as public agencies concerned with disability policy and individual achievement.
Bowden has extensive experience spanning corporate law, venture capital, public finance, private equity, website compliance, intellectual property, real estate development and commercial litigation. He earned his AB in Economics with honors at Princeton University and then earned his J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School and his M.B.A. at the Wharton School of Business, completing both degrees simultaneously.
