On January 16, 2009, the Family and Medical Leave Act requirements significantly changed.
The new regulations and Department of Labor's discussion runs 200 pages! Do not approach this change casually. (You can download a free copy here:

So that you can be prepared for the major changes that will become law on that date, Sands Anderson Marks & Miller presented on January 14, a must-attend session for its clients and friends to learn what will be required of each covered employer.
In our audio presentation (noon - 1:30 p.m. EST), Phyllis C. Katz, Esq. led a 90 minute seminar on the most significant among the many changes to the FMLA. The session outlined the major changes and discuss how they will impact leave and record keeping practices. As a result of the changes, each employer will be required to post a new notice, prepare new forms, and to train supervisory personnel on how the Act should be implemented. Learn for yourself, quickly and easily, what your organization will have to do to comply.
Some of the major modifications that were covered include:
The cost of the 90 minute audio seminar is only $30 for each call-in participant (a call in participant is an individual or a group of individuals accessing the seminar through one call in number to the conference center) and to take advantage of this low price you must register by December 31. For one price, you may bring others to attend with you for no additional charge provided that they listen from your call in line. Materials and call in instructions will be sent to you via e-mail once you have registered. After December 31, the registration fee will be $45 per call-in participant.
Attorneys who participate in the seminar for CLE credit (1.5 CLE credits) can attend for the same low fee. However, should a group of attorneys want to register for CLE credit and agree to use a single call location, the fee will be $100 for the group, as it requires additional record keeping under the Bar rules. After December 31, the group registration fee increases to $200.
Registration is easy and secure, right on our Web site where you can use your credit card or we will send an invoice.
